At the office of Materials and Research (OMR), the responsibilities includes:
Performs laboratory testing of highway construction materials in areas such as concrete, steel, aggregates, soils, and cement.
Performs and checks calculations, prepares sample test reports, and utilizes relevant applications for documenting results.Assists with OMR field operations in areas such as pavement evaluation, asphalt inspection, and geotechnical investigations.Assists OMR materials engineers with special projects, investigations, literature reviews, and research.Pay Rate is between $17.00 - $23.00/per hour depending on qualifications.
Requirements A high school diploma; or an approved acceptable equivalence.Applicants must be accepted into or currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year college or university program in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Science and Management.
