Job Description

Summary

This job involves providing everyday administrative help in a Navy family support office, such as answering calls, scheduling meetings, and creating documents using computer programs.

Full Job Description

You will serve as an Office Automation Assistant in the Fleet and Family Readiness Department of NAS SIGONELLA.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing direct administrative support such as screening intake calls, scheduling appointments, managing staff calendars, preparing for meetings, maintaining records and processing official correspondence; and 2) Utilizing a variety of office automation software to produce documents, reports, and presentations.

  • You will provide support through a wide array of assignments to include general front office administrative services in direct support of all programs that fall under the Fleet and Family Support Centers.
  • You will provide information to clients about the program services, requirements, and procedures.
  • You will receive visitors and telephone calls to the office, determines the nature of requests and directs visitors and/or callers to appropriate staff.
  • You will schedule appointments and arrange for time, participants, and location of meetings and assembling background material.
  • You will use multiple function office equipment and automated software to produce a wide- range of documents, reports, spreadsheets, briefs and tables.
