This vacancy is for an Office Automation Assistant position in the Field Division, Regional Office locations. Few positions are available at each of the three (3) Regional Office locations.

Eastern Time on 03/25/2026 To qualify for the position of Office Automation Assistant, at GS-0326-6, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.
Minimum Qualification Requirement: To be minimally qualified for this position you MUST have a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute with three or fewer errors in a five-minute writing sample.
AND Specialized Experience: For the GS-06, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 in the Federal service.
Experience for this position includes updating and maintaining automated systems; assisting with the preparation and planning of projects; researching information for assigned projects; assisting in the preparation of policy and procedures; scheduling meetings; developing and maintaining an office tracking system; and proofreading, editing and preparing correspondence.
Education: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
