The Public Service Commission has established a salary range of $34,049 to $53,673 for this classification.

County of Vacancy: Kanawha

Number of Vacancies: 1

This position performs under the supervision of an Executive Secretary Division's supervisor.

Duties include: Perform multi-step clerical tasks calling for interpretation and application of office procedures, rules and regulations.

Day-to-day tasks allow the employee to operate with latitude of independence; apply job knowledge to a variety of related tasks requiring multiple steps.

Review various types of documents for completeness and correctness; maintain, process, sort and file documents numerically or according to other predetermined classification criteria.

Copy, scan, distribute various types of filings, transcripts, new cases, all ALJ and Commission Orders, etc.

Answer agency switchboard and direct telephone calls to appropriate divisions; Screen complaint calls and direct to proper personnel; date stamp incoming official documents; greet and direct persons at the front counter; deliver/retrieve case files and documents within PSC building; certify mail and record return receipt cards; retrieve switchboard messages from voice mail; make daily runs to deliver and/or retrieve documents and/or Commission personnel from State Capitol Complex and other designated locations, requiring a valid driver's license; deliver and receive agency mail; post records of transactions and attendance in mail room; may compile records and reports for supervisor; operate postage meter and determine when postage purchase is required; perform related duties as required and assist generally with other office duties in coworkers’ absence.
