Job Description

Summary

This job is for an office assistant in a human services office in Wayne County, West Virginia, where you'll handle front-desk tasks like greeting visitors, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing paperwork such as scanning documents and processing mail.

You'll also provide backup support for other staff and help with file organization as needed.

Full Job Description

Responsible for providing support to Wayne district in all program areas. Work the reception/switchboard, greet visitors/clients, schedule appointments, assist daily with scanning, documents, applications and verifications into the client's case. Processing incoming and outgoing mail, processing certified/FedEx and take daily mail to the post office. Provide back-up coverage for other operations staff. Assist with purging of files and other support duties as needed.

Qualifications

Training: Graduation from a standard high school or the equivalent.

Experience: Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in routine office work.
