Job Title: Office Assistant 2
Location: Lacey, WA

Position Status: This is a non-permanent position. The expected duration of this 5-month, non-permanent appointment is May 15th, 2026, through October 15, 2026.


Under the direct supervision of the Revenue Manager, this position will provide routine clerical office support for Financial Services.

This position is not eligible to telework, as physical in-office presence is required to perform essential functions.

The Revenue section within Financial Services is a great place to work. We are a small, but mighty team that are committed to fostering a supportive and engaging working environment where team members are encouraged to learn and grow.

Requirements

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Receives, opens, sorts and distributes mail.
  • Reviews bank deposit records (BDR), shift summaries, credit card transaction reports, permit pass reports, and receipts.
  • Reviews and follows up on bank deposit reports and timesheets.
  • Alphabetizes and files bank deposit receipt transmittal paperwork, timesheets, Discover Passes, receipts, and other miscellaneous paperwork according to established procedures.
  • Reviews and inputs data entry.
  • Establishes and prepares new files or categories within established filing systems.
  • Archives records.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school graduation or equivalent

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • One-year clerical experience to include using Microsoft Excel and data entry

  • The ability to navigate multiple complex databases (Access, HRMS, and AFRS) and jump between different software environments while maintaining 100% data integrity.

  • The ability to be disciplined and follow established government/financial protocols.

  • The ability to distribute mail, bank reports, and timesheets, that are all time sensitive.

Requirements:
WORK CONDITIONS:
Work schedule is five (5) days a week, Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week. Incumbent must maintain regular and reliable attendance to accommodate office and customer needs. A.M. start time and end time are flexible with supervisor approval.
