This job involves helping families in the WIC program by checking eligibility through health measurements and diet reviews, offering advice on better eating habits, and connecting people to health or social services when needed.
It also includes promoting breastfeeding in the clinic and local community to support healthy lifestyles.
A good fit would be someone with a background in nutrition or health support who enjoys working directly with diverse families in a public health setting.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or related field.
Nutrition or a related field; including or supplemented by 15 semester hours in food and nutrition from a 4-year program.
Required course work includes at least one course in diet therapy or medical nutrition therapy I & II and one course in community nutrition or nutrition in the life cycle.Transcripts maybe required to verity course work prior to interview process.
