This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, C. M. Tucker, Roddey Pavilion, 2200 Harden Street, Columbia, SC 29203.
Make daily rounds to observe and evaluate resident care, ensuring regulatory compliance and standards with the Clinical Nurse Leaders/Charge Nurse.
Review reportable and unusual occurrences daily for regulatory compliance. Take appropriate action to correct any deficiencies and confers with DON.
Participate in on-call and on-floor coverage as needed.
Assist nursing supervisors, clinical nurse leaders and director in planning work operations on a short/long term basis, setting priorities based on goals.
Participate in interviewing and hiring staffing, assigning and reassigning work in all work units. Coordinate with PI Dept and Resource Nurse to ensure regulatory and facility education needs.
