The West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our long-term care team.
As a Registered Nurse in a long-term care setting, your duties are focused on managing chronic conditions and providing continuous care.
You are responsible for conducting regular health assessments, monitoring vital signs, and observing residents for any changes in their medical or cognitive status.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Direction and supervision of all resident care, including administering and documenting resident care, medication, and treatments per physician's order.
Provide instruction and supervision of licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants.
Promptly report changes in residents' condition to the physician and take follow up action as necessary.
Follow facility admission procedures and communicate resident admissions to other departments.
Take appropriate action to assure adequate staffing to meet resident needs.
Identify resident problems and emergency situations and initiate emergency care.
This position is full time (40 hours per week), with day and night shifts available. Must have flexibility to cover shifts as needed, including nights, weekends and holidays to ensure continuous, safe staffing levels.
