Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

You will serve as a SENIOR NUCLEAR ENGINEER (SNE) in the Equipment Branch (2370.22), Nuclear Refueling Engineering Division (2370), Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department (2300) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying advanced engineering principles to the design, operation, maintenance, and disposition of nuclear reactor servicing equipment, reactor heads, and vessel components.
Experience developing, reviewing, or approving complex technical documents, such as Reactor Servicing Procedures or Refueling Technical Work Documents (RTWDs), to ensure compliance with technical and safety standards.
Experience leading and coordinating engineering projects by planning and executing procedure development, resolving complex technical issues, and integrating the work of various support organizations to meet schedules.
Experience interpreting and evaluating engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manuals to troubleshoot issues and provide expert recommendations for reactor servicing operations.
