This entry-level job involves reviewing financial companies that don't hold deposits, like certain lenders or securities firms, to check if they follow state laws and run their operations properly.
You'll conduct inspections, write reports on any problems found, and work with company leaders to fix issues, all while getting training to build your skills.
It's a great fit for someone detail-focused with a background in finance or accounting who wants a stable government role with growth opportunities.

In this role, you will conduct less complex examinations of non-depository licensees to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Following examinations, you will be expected to prepare reports based on violations and discuss areas of uncertainty with supervisor prior to communicating with licensee.
This position discusses examination findings with licensee supervisory staff to resolve issues and, based on those discussions, may direct the refund of overcharges or other action necessary to correct violations.
You will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of formal and on-the-job training assignments, attend basic examining or training seminars and study training materials to develop competency and skill in examining the records, operations and procedures of non-depository licensees.
