Full Job Description

The United States District Court, District of Arizona is seeking a Network Administrator, located in the Phoenix Office.

This position is part of the consolidated Systems Technology Division and reports to a Systems Technology Division Manager.

The Network Administrator plays a critical role in supporting, installing, configuring, and maintaining all network technologies across the District of Arizona.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify for this position, the applicant must have two years specialized experience, including at least one-year equivalent to work at the next lower level (CL-27).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants with the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Certifications including, Comp TIA Network +, CCNA, VM Ware, etc.

Advanced knowledge of networking hardware and protocols: Cisco switches/routers, enterprise wireless, TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, VPNs, VoIP, and structured cabling.

Experience with network monitoring and reporting tools, Solar Winds, wire shark, dyna trace, splunk, Zabbix, netscaler. Experience working with network segmentation and micro-segmentation.

Strong communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders inside and outside the court. Major Duties:

Design, implement, and maintain wide and local area networks, IP networking equipment (routers, switches, wireless controllers, access points).

Evaluate and provision bandwidth to meet application, data, and security requirements across all district court sites.

Manage network security: user access, antivirus, patching, firewalls, intrusion detection, and remediation. Lead infrastructure planning for new court facilities and renovations.

Provide end-user support for connectivity, IT security, and remote access. Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams and IP schemes.
