Full Job Description
This is a part-time temporary grant position working towards the expansion of the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers. The purpose of this job is to work towards the expansion, enhancement, and strengthening of supports available to family caregivers of South Carolina through the implementation of actions from the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers. Job duties include but not limited to:
*Expand and strengthen the caregiver education, training, and peer support options available to SC’s family caregivers through implementation of a statewide caregiver education program and documentation of other caregiver education programs in a statewide database.
*Increase support for working family caregivers in SC through workplace education.
*Works in collaboration with others in the Caregiver and Alzheimer's Resource Division to enhance current programs and initiatives. Other duties to include, but not limited to, participation in SCDOA outreach events and partnering opportunities. Assist team members with overall mission and direction of the agency.
Requirements
A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to the area of employment. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively.
Qualifications
Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships, analyze needs and resources to create solutions, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and deal courteously and effectively with the general public. Able to prepare and deliver public presentations effectively. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Outlook and PowerPoint. In addition, demonstrates commitment to learning program and agency software.
