About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the Auto Hobby Shop, Spangdahlem AB, Germany. This is a flexible position, 0-40 hours per week.
You may be required to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to frequently bend, reach and work in awkward positions.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have experience servicing vehicles (i.e., lubricate, oil and filter change).
Must be able to read and understand manual specifications and be able to verbally communicate with patrons.
Successful completion of technical/vocational school training in an automotive servicing course in which applicant gained a basic knowledge of automotive servicing may be substituted for the required experience.
Must be physically able to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to frequently bend, reach and work in awkward positions.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Major Duties:
Drains and changes lubricants in crank cases, differentials and transmissions, lubricates vehicles and replaces oil and air filters, checks fluid levels in braking systems and power steering reservoirs.
Replaces accessories such as rear view mirrors, rotates, replaces and/or repairs tube and tubeless tires with a plugger or hot or cold patch.
Changes brake pads and rotors, checks components such as spark plugs, wires, rotors, fan belts, tail pipes, mufflers, hoses and similar items and makes adjustments or replaces these items.
Refers any observed needs for major repairs to the automotive mechanic for determination of repairs. Uses a limited variety of test equipment (e.g., battery cell tester, battery hydrometer).
Uses a variety of hand tools necessary to complete work assignments. Maintains records and inventory of supplies issued (e.g., oil and other lubricants).
