This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health - Berkeley Community Mental Health Center, 403 Stony Landing Road, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.

As the Mental Health Professional II - Mobile Crisis Supervisor, under the general supervision of Program Coordinator II, this employee will supervise and attend to the daily operations of the Mobile Crisis program, as the Acting Chief of Mobile Crisis.

Responsibilities for the Mental Health Professional II - Mobile Crisis Supervisor:

Supervise the Mobile Crisis team efficiently and effectively and attends to the daily operations of the program.

This includes effective personnel management activities, data management and evaluation activities, and team professional development responsibilities.

Responsible for ensuring program meets goals and deliverables; managing schedules and effective community relations. Provide coverage for after hours and on-call tasks as needed.

Oversee the supervision, quality of care, professional development and expansion of the Mobile Crisis and Law Enforcement embedded clinician programs. Ensure programs meet contract and program deliverables, work toward process improvement.

Perform the function of a Center counselor efficiently, with a person centered recovery focus and positive customer satisfaction.

This includes triage, providing advanced assessments and therapeutic interventions, adhering to LOC guidelines, addressing patient barriers, engagement and closure activities, coordination with other providers, and community partner cooperation.

Meet patient care hour goals.

Perform the function of a Center counselor efficiently, which includes: completing documentation according to QI standards; documenting collaboratively and on-time; completing outcome measures; documenting contacts; and minimizing billing dis-allowances.

Meet collaborative documentation and charting standards. Serve as the local hospital liaison.

Oversee, monitor, and approve indigent hospital bed day funding requests and complete reports on time.

Participate in ongoing professional development; maintain licenses/certifications; comply with training requirements; attend meetings and committees as assigned.

Adhere to Center, BHDD, and State Corporate Compliance policies, procedures, and regulations, and professional codes of conduct.

Requirements

Minimum and Additional Requirements

• A master's degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences that meets requirements for licensure as an LPC, LISW-CP or LMFT, two years of experience in a clinical counseling program, licensure required.

Additional Requirements

• Position includes working with community constituents.
• Workplace environment can include community and crisis intervention work outside of the center's physical location.
• This position is considered essential and can be called back in the event of a crisis, natural disaster, or emergency.

Qualifications

• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

• Have ability and skill in planning, delivering, coordinating, and evaluation program interventions.
• Have skill in training patients, families and staff.
• Be able communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
