Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves managing a large fleet of over 12,000 mobile devices for King County, handling orders, inventory, and troubleshooting issues while acting as the main contact for telecom coordinators across the county.
It also includes working with major cell phone carriers to update products, rates, and billing, and providing training and documentation to support the team.
A good fit would be someone with strong tech support skills, experience in vendor coordination, and a detail-oriented approach to inventory and compliance, ideally already working in the county's IT department.

This position is open to Internal King County Department of Information Technology (KCIT) employees. Only current KCIT employees will be considered.
The King County Department of Information Technology is seeking a Mobile Device Coordinator to join our team. This role supports King County’s mobile device fleet of more than 12,000 devices and serves as a key liaison to over 140 King County Telecom Coordinators.
Primary responsibilities include coordinating mobile device orders, managing inventory and product offerings, and resolving activation and ordering issues.
The Mobile Device Coordinator also develops and maintains documentation, delivers system training, and provides support related to carrier contracts and invoicing.

Employees must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.

Work Schedule: The normal work week for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Alternative work schedules may be considered.
FLSA Status: This position is FLSA Non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay.
