Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S.

Experience: You qualify for the GS-09 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Assisting senior specialists in analyzing programs, workflow, and office procedures to measure performance and efficiency.
Identifying ways to improve or enhance current services. Developing new or modified administrative program work methods and procedures for delivering effective services to customers.
Analyzing the effects of changes in laws and regulations as they pertain to management services. Assisting with reconciling conflicting and/or incomplete information.
Experience: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Coordinating and monitoring administrative projects such as budget, personnel, travel, space, logistics, etc.
Determining the most effective technical approach to problems and issues by using standard regulations and procedures.
Analyzing data to identify trends and develop estimates and studies, preparing narrative and data reports.
Communicating both orally and in writing in order to direct, explain, guide, and negotiate complicated legal requirements, contentious work situations, complicated concepts, and planned process changes to a wide variety of people.
