The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Program Management and Administration is looking for a Microcomputer/Network Technician 1/2 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!


Pay is based on the location of the selected applicant


Ketchikan: $26.66 (OT eligible) - $30.62 (OT eligible)

Juneau: $27.99 (OT eligible - $32.15 (OT eligible)





What you will be doing:
This Microcomputer/Network Technician (MNT) 1/2 position is responsible for providing a wide range of microcomputer support to department customers. Incumbent installs, maintains and manages department microcomputer hardware and software.

At the MNT 1 level, this entry level IT position is responsible for providing troubleshooting and problem resolution for microcomputer and network hardware and software issues.

At the MNT 2 level, this full-proficiency IT position is responsible for providing advanced level troubleshooting and problem resolution for microcomputer and network hardware and software issues

Qualifications

  • Two most recent performance evaluations. If recent performance evaluations are unavailable, please provide two professional letters of reference.

FLEXIBLY STAFFEDThis position is flexibly staffed. This vacancy may be filled at either the 1 or 2 level, depending on the applicant's training and/or experience.

The full range of salaries is listed above. Starting salary will be determined by the level the position is hired at.

If filled at Level 1, promotion to the Level 2 will occur upon successful completion of the probationary period and required training, as well as the applicant meeting the minimum qualifications of the higher job class.
