Full Job Description

Serves as a Medical Support Assistant, providing a variety of duties associated with patient care and treatment in several outpatient clinics and medical facilities by coordinating clinic activities and ensuring the smooth operation of daily services.

These Medical Support Assistant positions are located at multiple Indian Health Service (IHS) healthcare facilities across various locations.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-5: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-4 grade level and/or Four years above high school.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Examples of Specialized Experience: Greet and assist patients, families, and visitors.

Maintain and organize filing systems ensuring records are accurate, up to date, and easily retrievable.

Assist with the preparation of a wide range of correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other administrative documentation.
