Requirements

In this position, you will oversee the Pittsburgh Nursing Facility Field Operations unit.

Your work will involve performing reviews of clinical and fiscal records to ensure their compliance with state and federal requirements.

You will review the records of skilled nursing facilities and Living Independence for the Elderly centers.

Some of your duties will include ensuring consistent review and supervision, serving as a resource for staff, and evaluating care in accordance with nursing practice standards and consumer standards.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with other supervisors and be responsible for staff development.

Additionally, you will exercise independent judgment by drawing on your professional training, comprehensive job knowledge, and specialized expertise.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Travel throughout Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cameron, Clarion, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Jefferson, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango, Warren, Washington and Westmoreland counties is required.
  • This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Medical Records Examiner (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of professional experience in the field of medical assistance, health care services, or human services; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

  • All positions require active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
  • This position requires an active motor vehicle license.

Other Requirements:

  • This position requires travel to Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cameron, Clarion, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Jefferson, Lawrence, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango, Warren, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
