Requirements

As a Mechanic Supervisor, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of automotive fleet, construction equipment, and maintenance tools. You will also supervise groundskeeping activities. This will include:


  • Maintaining and providing safe vehicles for patient and staff transportation for patient escort, pickup and delivery of meals, laundry, and mail
  • Overseeing campus grounds maintenance, removal and trimming of unwanted vegetation, and snow removal
  • Updating necessary records for automotive services, preventative maintenance, and inventory
  • Performing routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment
  • Operating cars, passenger vans, buses, pay loaders, front end loaders, backhoes, tractors, trucks, transport vehicles, and riding mowers
  • Recommending improvements to road paving, guard rail installation, tree removal, and general landscaping projects
  • Completing performance evaluation reports, writing schedules, determining work assignments, and reviewing completed work

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Four years of journey level mechanical experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.


Special Requirements:

  • You must be in possession of an active Pennsylvania driver's license.
