Full Job Description

This position serves as a Material Handler for the Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) - Tucson and is located in Tucson Arizona, with responsibility for the proper receipts, storage and will issue all supplies and equipment.

PHYSICAL EFFORT: Position requires working on hard surfaces, in tiring and uncomfortable positions, and standing for long periods of time.

Routinely engages in stooping, bending, turning and lifting heavy supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Heavier items are moved with weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers. WORK CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a warehouse setting.

Work is done inside or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty or poorly lit.

Employee is regularly exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, falls and injury from falling stock.

The work may require wearing protective clothing such as steel-toed shoes, hard hat, and other safety equipment as necessary.

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Federal Wage System Qualifications.

Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element (WG-2 and higher only; screen-outs are not applicable to WG-1).

Major duties include: Matches shipping documents with receipts; Logs shipment, receipt and storage of stock; Maintains proper storage of items after processing; Maintains accurate inventory and routinely spot checks a representative number of items each month; Applies knowledge of warehouse plans, methods, procedures, and techniques of material handling; Performs related duties as required.
