Summary

Full Job Description

You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER in the Nuclear Material Division of PSNS and IMF.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job.

  • You will receive, store and issue materials and supplies.
  • You will maintain inventory accuracy and location validity.
  • You will be responsible for ascertaining that assigned storage areas are maintained in accordance with regulations governing the storage of nuclear material.
  • You will direct shipment carriers to the most convenient offloading sites.
  • You will research and resolve material problems.
  • You will ensure material is safeguarded against damage or loss during transportation or movement.
