Although a specific length of time and experience is not required, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties at the level for which you are applying.

Emphasis is placed on how you gained the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time, and the required ability or potential to perform the job.

Applicants who do not meet the screen-out element (SOE) will be eliminated from further competition.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Physical Effort Work is performed on hard surface and in areas that require standing, stooping, bending, lifting and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.

Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 pounds, obtains assistance from others or uses material handling equipment for items weighing over 40 pounds.

Working Conditions Works inside and outside subject to heat, cold, damp, drafty, or poorly lighted areas. May be exposed to dusty, dirty, or greasyconditions.

Individual may be exposed to cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, or injury from mechanical conveyor systems.Worker may be required to wear safety equipment, safety shoes, etc.

Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.

If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.

If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for early intervention services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12.

Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care.

Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only. Major Duties:

  • Receives, processes, stows, picks, identities, physical movement, unpacking and repacking of the material for storage or issue.
  • Operates material handling equipment (MHE)
  • Performs routine and complex research as required for item identification and advises lower graded workers on specialized procedures
  • Correctly identifies and assigns condition classifications to a wide range of items.
  • Uses computer system reports to identify and work discrepancies in receipt and issue processing.
  • Compare contracts, complex or subjective specifications, such as tech orders, catalog drawings, and computerized or microfiche data to verify agreement with the specified quantities and the physical and mechanical condition
