Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-12. Expert-level knowledge in field.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves being the top expert on additive manufacturing, a 3D printing technology, for the U.S.
Navy's ships and submarines, helping to create and approve new parts while ensuring they meet safety standards.
You'll develop guidelines, work with teams across the Navy, and represent the organization in discussions about this technology.
It's a great fit for an experienced engineer who loves solving tough problems in materials and manufacturing for high-stakes military projects.
You will serve as a MATERIALS ENGINEER in the Materials Division, SEA 05P2 of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level or pay band NH-03 (GS-13) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer managing complex systems developments and engineering systems to resolve challenges for naval structural integrity.
