Job Description

Summary

This job involves creating and managing marketing programs to promote Army recreational services, facilities, and events at a military base in California.

The role includes analyzing programs, designing campaigns, and evaluating advertising efforts to improve customer engagement.

A good fit would be someone with marketing experience who can communicate ideas clearly and has skills in graphic design software.

Key Requirements

  • Demonstrated work experience in marketing or related field equivalent to the next lower pay band level
  • Ability to develop and deliver written and oral presentations of technical materials to non-technical audiences
  • OR a master's degree in marketing, advertising, or a closely related field
  • Experience analyzing programs through on-site reviews of merchandising, displays, customer service, and finances
  • Skills in developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive marketing programs
  • Ability to design promotional campaigns, special events, and sponsorship proposals
  • Highly preferred: At least one year using Adobe CS4 (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign) or similar software
  • Highly preferred: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Interactive and Virtual Digital Communications, or similar field

Full Job Description

This position is located with the Non-appropriated Funds Support Services Division at Fort Hunter Liggett, CA. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Demonstrated related work experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.

Work experience must have been equivalent in complexity, difficulty and responsibility to the next lower pay band level.

Ability to develop and make written and oral presentations of technical materials to nontechnical personnel.

OR Completion of the requirements for a master's or equivalent graduate degree in marketing, advertising or closely related field.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": A minimum of one year experience using Adobe CS4 (Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign) or similar software.

A Bachelors degree in Marketing, Interactive and Virtual Digital Communications or similar field. Major Duties:

  • Provides marketing functional services to designated strategic business units. Develops, implements and evaluates a comprehensive marketing program in support of MWR programs, services, facilities, and activities.
  • Analyzes programs by on-site review of merchandising, displays, customer service and finances. Evaluates program strengths and weaknesses and makes recommendations for improvements. Determines optimum marketing mix to achieve objectives.
  • Identifies publicity and advertising needs. Designs promotional campaigns. Evaluates advertising and publicity efforts. Assists in developing major special events and promotions.
  • Develops sponsorship and advertising proposals. Performs other duties as assigned.
