You will lead a team of project and program managers who delivers projects and programs that span numerous State agencies, including technology implementations, process redesign, workflow enhancement, and implementation of new programs.
Your leadership will guide the team as they manage value delivery and outcomes, resources, schedules, plans, financials, and adhere to quality and control guidelines.
You will actively engage in improving your leadership skills, attitude, and knowledge, especially as related to equity, diversity and inclusion while attending training, development and group training on topics of inclusive leadership.

A minimum of five (5) years experience that includes a combination of IT and IT project or program management for large, complex projects and/or project portfolio management, which demonstrates strong relationship building and management skills, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience must include at least one year performing at the level of Senior Project Manager.
Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications. There is no substitution for any required management experience.
Training or Certification related to the work assigned to the position will be assigned credit towards substitution for experience and/or education, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.
If the minimum qualifications include a degree requirement, additional appropriate paid or unpaid experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience directly managing Project Management professionals.
Previous experience working within a governmental organization.
Relevant Certifications: Scrum, Agile, ITIL, PMP, LEAN, etc.
OIT candidates and employees must comply with any screening procedures in place at state entity locations where they might be required to perform work.
A pre-employment background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.
Positions supporting some agencies such as the Department of Corrections and the Department of Public Safety will also require a pre-employment drug test.
This position may require travel within the specified geographic area, and to locations across the state as needed.
This position may require on-call duties as needed by the position.
