The Enterprise Applications Manager leads an Enterprise Applications team, operating at the "line of business" level for one department or customer base.
The Enterprise Applications Manager reports directly to the Senior Manager and acts as primary customer contact for all application development service-related inquiries and issues.
The Enterprise Applications Manager is both strategically and tactically focused, with demonstrated hands-on skill in IT application service design, development, transition, and operations, and supervises and manages a team of developers and staff to deliver the application service.
In this role, you will:
Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications. There is no substitution for any required management experience.
Training or Certification related to the work assigned to the position will be assigned credit towards substitution for experience and/or education, but cannot completely substitute for these qualifications.
If the minimum qualifications include a degree requirement, additional appropriate paid or unpaid experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
High familiarity with a variety of software development methodologies such as Agile and and a strong understanding of the suitability of these methodologies for certain development environments and types of applications.
Comfortable in a hands-on role, driving application development to completion, and capable of working closely with the team to monitor the progress of assigned work.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical aptitude.
Ability to work with peer organizations to translate IT processes (e.g., System Development Life Cycle, Governance, etc.) and tool strategies (e.g., project management, collaboration, knowledge warehouse, etc.) to support the day-to-day work efforts of the individual departments, driving towards greater efficiencies and higher quality deliverables.
Demonstrated knowledge around metrics as it pertains to product and application deliverables (quality) and work effort (time).
Strong communication, organizational, prioritization and leadership skills
3 years working with the Salesforce system.
Salesforce Administrator certification preferred.
OIT candidates and employees must comply with any screening procedures in place at state entity locations where they might be required to perform work.
A pre-employment background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.
Positions supporting some agencies such as the Department of Corrections and the Department of Public Safety will also require a pre-employment drug test.
This position may require travel within the specified geographic area, and to locations across the state as needed.
This position may require on-call duties as needed by the position.
