Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team of engineers, scientists, and support staff to manage and improve underwater weapons systems for the Navy, including overseeing projects from development to operations.
A good fit would be an experienced engineering manager with a background in defense or technical projects, who enjoys supervising teams and ensuring program success.
It requires strong leadership skills and knowledge of underwater technologies to handle both administrative and technical responsibilities.
You will serve as a MANAGER in the Research & Engineering (E), Energetics Systems Division (E1), Underwater Systems Branch (E16) of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.
This position may be eligible for Supervisory Pay Differential of up to four (4) percent.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 grade equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer, providing administrative and technical oversight on underwater weapons system (e.g., conventional, covert) projects or programs to ensure the development and improvement of personnel and programmatic operations for the success of an organization.
