Base salary range: $104,604 - $135,987

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job is for a manager in a naval warfare center who leads teams working on advanced engineering and scientific projects related to cyber systems, software, and testing for military applications.
The role involves planning projects, managing resources like budgets and staff, and ensuring high-quality support for defense initiatives.
It's a good fit for experienced engineers or scientists with leadership skills who enjoy overseeing technical programs in a government setting.
You will serve as a MANAGER in the Expeditionary C3 & Cyber Div (MXL), Software Development & Architecture Branch (MXLP), Cyber Systems Validation Branch (MXLR), or Tactical Cyber Testing Branch (MXLS) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions.
This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (currently $163,514).
In addition to basic education requirements, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist, analyzing and evaluating technical project requirements to develop, plan and execute project schedules, milestones and deliverables for the efficiency of successful engineering or scientific program operations.
