Full Job Description

This position is located at the Fort Benning NAF Support Services Division, which is apart of the Fort Benning Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR).

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Work experience that includes a practical application of the above described or related work experience.

Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise and grammatically correct manner. Must have knowledge of Army administrative policies and procedures.

Must have knowledge of military protocol procedures to arrange special events and functions. Must be able to use a variety of software programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the local commuting area.

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Must be have experience with fingerprinting and document review.

Major Duties:

  • Prepares a variety of correspondence, briefing charts and reports for the Director.
  • Assists in arranging various command events and functions
  • Assists the Administrative Officer with the Government Travel Card Program; the Personnel Security Program; the Purchase Card Program; correspondence control; and other areas as required.
  • Serves as the Command's point of contact for DoD Building Passes and Common Access Cards. Uses a GSA vehicle to make periodic distribution / coordination visits to the DoD Building Pass Office, the Army Security Office, and other offices.
  • Ensures fingerprints are obtained for various state repositories based upon specific state-by-state requirements and submits to the Office of Personnel Management for processing.
