The primary purpose of this position is to perform technical support and assistance to senior analysts on special studies and projects, manage the government purchase card (GPC) program, and serve as the focal point to improve resource efficiency and savings for supplies and equipment.
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Management and Program Clerical and Assistance Series.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have, or will have within 120 days of closing of this announcement, at least one year of specialized experience which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-04) level, pay band (NK-01), or equivalent (pay schedule, pay band, etc.).
Specialized experience is experience performing administrative duties such as developing reports with data collection, using automation software to create various documents, monitoring project progress, and serving as a customer service representative.
NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
OR EDUCATION: Completion of 4 years of education above high school. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Applicants possess equivalent combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience that may be used to meet total experience requirements.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of the function of the organization to assist in the gathering and summarizing of pertinent data for management and program operations.
Knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and format to be able to accurately prepare and edit written correspondence and reports.
Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
Skill in verifying and correlating data and locating, assembling and composing information for non-routine reports, inquiries, and technical correspondence.
Applying analytical and evaluative techniques to prepare preliminary information used by senior analysts and/or managers.
Ability to analyze, verify, and correlate data; locate, assemble, and compose information for nonroutine reports, inquiries, and technical correspondence; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and plan, organize work and meet deadlines.
Ability to make arrangements for such things as travel, conferences, purchases, and meetings. Ability to access or locate information through the use of a personal computer and software programs.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
Uses knowledge and understanding of the rules, regulations, and procedures governing a variety of areas to identify and resolve technical, organizational, regulatory and administrative issues affecting the organization.
Monitors and maintains office documents, files, and reports. Distributes mail and messages, recording the receipt, suspense, and completion dates as appropriate.
Uses multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets.
