Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S.
Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Headquarters Support Division, Office of the Executive Assistant Commissioner, located in Washington, DC.

Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Reviewing of OFO organizational change request packages, to include analysis of structural changes, mission and functional statements, and program/function administration Monitoring encumbered and vacant positions, filling of vacancies, execution of personnel actions, and developing comprehensive long-range hiring plans Facilitating position management for a large organization Conducting research using various references such as Directives, Federal law and organizational policy to formulate concise responses to multiple personnel related questions Providing senior leaders with analytical insight into the Table of Organization NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible.

Typical duties include: Conducting initial review on organizational change request packages, to include analysis of structural changes, mission and functional statements, and program/function administration Advising requesting offices on coordinating with Office of Finance to get financial impact statements, accurately depicting the organizational structure/charts, eliminating functional overlap among programs, preparing OCR packages for submission, and implementing approved reorganizations Working directly to contributes to the optimum organization and distribution of functions, organizational structure and providing senior leaders with analytical insight into the Table of Organization for assigned offices Monitoring encumbered and vacant positions to ensure approved positions' data elements are accurately recorded and updated.
