Job Description

Summary

This job involves supporting administrative and personnel tasks for a naval logistics center in Yokosuka, Japan, such as processing staff requests, managing travel orders, and handling performance reviews and check-in procedures.

It's ideal for someone with experience in office management and human resources who can work independently in a structured military environment.

Note that medical and dental care is very limited in Japan, so candidates should be prepared for overseas living challenges.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-11 level or equivalent, including administrative and workforce management tasks
  • Ability to conduct studies and execute tasks like initiating personnel actions (RPAs) and processing overseas PCS travel orders

You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the NAVSUP FLCY ofNAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR YOKOSUKA . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED.

Please see Additional Information section below.*** Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience conducting studies of and executing a variety of administrative and workforce management tasks such as initiating and processing request for personnel actions (RPAs), processing overseas PCS travel and orders, collaboration with HRO personnel in support of personnel management, and serving as liaison to the awards program manager.

  • You will prepare special and recurring reports as required by management and higher echelons.
  • You will create and maintain internal controls to include but is not limited to developing and maintaining internal personnel action tracking logs, databases, electronic files and libraries in support of the command workforce requirements.
  • You will be responsible for the Check-in/Check-out (CICO) process ensuring CICO procedures are in accordance with policy and guidance.
  • You will organize and review the Performance Appraisal Review System (PARS), ensuring all personnel have a performance plan within 30 days of new position or the beginning of a new performance cycle.
