Full Job Description

This position is located in the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research & Engineering (OUSW(R&E)).

The OUSW (R&E) serves as the Chief Technology Officer and is responsible for research, development, and prototyping activities within the Department of War (DoW).

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Developing, implementing, and utilizing evaluative criteria to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of new and emerging technologies.

Managing the full lifecycle of program analysis, including developing evaluation plans, overseeing study execution, and analyzing findings.

Applying a wide range of qualitative and quantitative analytical techniques, including advanced modeling and simulation.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Develops, implements, and utilizes a consistent set of evaluative criteria to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of new and emerging technologies to fill critical capability gaps against peer and near-peer adversaries.

Represents the JLE in Intelligence Community forums, providing expert analysis and advice on program effectiveness and, in turn, build strong partnerships across the DoW.

Develops evaluation plans and methodologies to overseeing the execution of studies and analyzing their findings.

Manages agreements (MOUs/MOAs) with the intelligence community and overseeing contracts for FFRDC and UARC studies to ensure alignment with programmatic goals.
