Job Description

Summary

This role involves leading logistics and maintenance efforts for a military weapons program, acting as the main point of contact for the Navy and joint teams to ensure the system stays operational throughout its life.

You'll manage budgets, contracts, repairs, and technical updates while guiding teams through reviews and providing support to the fleet.

Key Requirements

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Assistant Program Manager for Logistics/Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (APML/DAPML) located at Eglin AFB, Florida.

You will be assigned to the Sustainment Program Management & Analysis Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (DS-05 =GS 12/13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following: 1) Managing junior logistics management specialists 2) Managing Budget and Financial controls, Contract SOW & CDRLs, Material Resources, and Sustainment Repair processes.

3) Demonstrated experience with Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and Technical Directives. 4) Managing all Integrated Product Support Elements across the total life cycle of a weapons system.

5) Experience in development and/or sustainment of a multi-service weapons system.

  • You will serve as the primary focal point and as the Navy’s Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for all logistics and maintenance concerns with respect to this program.
  • You will provide logistics leadership, technical guidance, or directs sustainment program management for PMA-259 and the Joint Program Office (JPO) on all logistics topics, issues and concerns relevant to AIM-260.
  • You will ensure technical data strategies are adequate to sustain the weapon system and that such data is sufficiently managed in a PLM tool that can be accessed across multiple sites.
  • You will guide the team through Sustainment portion of technical reviews such as SETRs, PMRs, ILAs, ILSMTs, and fielding reviews.
  • You will use the OPOM process for OM and N funding and the BAMS process for spares funding.
  • You will provide direct fleet support for AIM-260 commodities and components rectifying deficiencies and incorporating engineering change proposals as appropriate.
