The Department of Human Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Management Analyst 2 to join the Bureau of Financial Operations.
In this key role, you will conduct research, perform detailed analyses, and provide support to mental health hospitals and intellectual disability facilities.

In this position, you will review financial liability imposed on residents of state-operated mental health hospitals and intellectual disability centers and units.
You will prepare procedural updates in the facility reimbursement operations manuals and provide guidance to field offices located at state-operated mental health and intellectual disability facilities.
Your responsibilities will include approving or denying requests for liability reductions for clients living in these facilities.
You will evaluate changes in methods used to collect client financial information and assess liability.
Based on your evaluations, you will develop and provide updated procedures for reimbursement offices across state facilities.
In addition, you will conduct independent and team-based analyses of records, as well as on-site reviews of data and processes at facility reimbursement offices, to assess the effectiveness of operations, workflows, and staffing structures.
All decisions will be made in accordance with existing policies and procedures, Commonwealth laws, and applicable labor-management agreements.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week dependent on training progress.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
