This job involves working as a key advisor to top executives in the Navy's engineering command, analyzing programs, budgets, and policies to help make smart decisions and manage daily operations.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST at Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Headquarters.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Serving as a subject matter expert in the administration and evaluation of programs, business operations, and travel regulations; 2.

Using qualitative and quantitative analytical methods to evaluate data, assess program effectiveness, and advise leadership on planning, budget, and policy issues; 3.

Analyzing the impact of new legislation and policies while managing the flow of documents and taskers for the command through systems like Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2); 4.

Developing and providing briefings, reports, and written materials to justify proposals and influence senior leadership; and 5.

Influencing decision-making by providing expert guidance on a wide range of administrative, operational, and policy-related matters.

In addition to the above, you must must be able to successfully complete the following training courses within the first 6 months: Yeoman "A" school A-510-0012 (Navy e-Learning course number NRTC-NAVEDTRA 15009B-YN-2.0) (customer service and office procedures, use of Navy publications and technical manuals, computer literacy and application of various computer programs, proofreading, and mailing of Naval correspondence including the standard letter and classified standard letters) YN PS Advance Administration - Advanced Administration Procedures course number CSS-ADA-010-3.0 Yeoman (YN) "C" (Flagwriter): A-511-0015.

(Advanced training in administration and management support for Flag Officers and Senior Executive Service personnel).

  • You will serve as serves as an Executive Staff Assistant/Analyst assisting a Senior Executive Service member in support of enterprise-wide operations.
  • You will provide subject matter expertise on the administration and evaluation of command programs and business operations, to advise leaders and other key stakeholders in making informed decisions on a variety of issues.
  • You will develop comprehensive plans and strategies for the internal and external integration of day-to-day and long-range projects, actions and activities requiring the involvement of the Executive.
  • You will forecast potential requirements, de-conflicts problems, and plans and projects time for historically recurring requirements.
  • You will develop / provide briefings and reports to leadership and other stakeholders on program/issue status including justifying and defending proposals and requests for resources, in order to influence guidance and decision-making.
