Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing data and policies/regulations to advise management on an organization's resource management projects and/or programs.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

Major Duties:

  • Analyze data to prepare reports for management that address resource requirements, project effectiveness, problems, and to make recommendations.
  • Develop plans for inspections and audits for the organization.
  • Conduct projects that integrate resources, plans, programs, and special assignments related to the organization, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Function as the control point for all projects, processes, procedures, and taskers for the organization.
  • Resolve technical, organizational, operational, and administrative issues by using regulations and procedures for a variety of topics, advising management when necessary.
  • Maintain the organization’s TEMPEST program to create physical security policies and procedures for mitigating risk of security incidents.
  • Provide guidance to management and supervisors on programs related to Civilian Employment, the Manpower Program, Resource and Budget Management, Civilian Personnel, and/or corporate programs such as training, awards, and security
