This job involves leading a team of maintenance workers at a Marine Corps base in Hawaii, where you'll plan schedules, assign tasks, inspect ongoing work, and ensure everything meets safety and quality standards.
It's a hands-on supervisory role focused on keeping facilities running smoothly for military operations.
A good fit would be someone with strong leadership experience in maintenance or trades, who is organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable training others in a team environment.
You will serve as a MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR I in the FACILITIES DEPARTMENT of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks as an expert or have been consulted by other employees in difficult situations performing duties including: 1) Planning work schedules and sequence of operations for the workforce supervised; 2) Inspecting works in progress to ensure productivity, efficiency, and completeness; 3) Assigning work to subordinates either orally, by providing written instructions or electronically through the Computerized Facilities Management System; 4) Training subordinates in work methods and procedures, proper use of tools and equipment, safety regulations and other regulations and policies established by the Federal Government; and 5) Recommending new methods, material or equipment for expediting and improving work execution.
