Requirements

As a skilled maintenance professional, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks to keep the facility in top-notch condition. Your duties will encompass a wide array of skilled trades, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and HVAC maintenance. You will handle everything from installing new fixtures and repairing existing systems to maintaining the building's automated controls and ensuring the safety of fire alarm and security systems.

Additionally, you will contribute to the overall upkeep of the facility by performing custodial duties, landscaping, and snow removal. This position also involves coordinating with contractors for major repairs and maintaining detailed records of supplies, equipment, and fuel levels. Through your diligent efforts, playing a crucial role in maintaining a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for all who use the facility.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 7.5 hours/day, 37.5 hours bi-weekly
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Travel required as needed
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.


Special Requirements:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
