In this position, you will perform various skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of buildings, grounds, machinery, and equipment at the Southwestern Veterans’ Center.
Your work will involve repairing doors and furniture, operating power and hand tools, and installing electrical circuits.
You will also repair and install plumbing fixtures, make repairs to heating lines, and perform masonry work in connection with buildings and walkways.
In this position, you will make repairs to roofs and repair and paint surfaces.
Some of your duties will include maintaining equipment and tools, performing minor repairs to wheelchairs and other assistance equipment, and replacing locks.
Additionally, you will perform snow removal, help with groundskeeping and landscaping, and coordinate with staff on the use of contractors.
