Full Job Description
Under general supervision, performs work tapping, installing and repairing piping systems and fittings for water systems; performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair work as needed; and does related work as required.Requirements
Installs and repairs hot or cold water pipes and makes all necessary connections with full responsibility for such installations. Drills and taps water and sewer mains and laterals. Lays pipe up to six-inch size for water lines. Wipes and tests joints. Supervises and instructs water meter repairmen into replacement of meters and performs plumbing work incident thereto. Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures. Performs skilled or semi-skilled maintenance and repair work in a variety of trades as assigned.Qualifications
Must have 2 years of experience in related work. Must be a resident of the city of Boston.Additional Information
