The Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) is accepting applications for a Maintenance Mechanic 2 to join our team at the Echo Glenn Children’s Center, a Juvenile Rehabilitation medium/maximum security institution for male and female youth offenders.

The Opportunity:In this role, you'll perform skilled work related to facility operations, maintenance, repair, and construction.
This includes taking care of the buildings, machinery, and equipment, as well as working on the grounds.
The ideal candidate will have experience in several areas, including plumbing, electrical work, welding, carpentry, and machining.
This is a role that requires independence and self-direction, and we welcome those who are skilled at fixing things and have a knack for basic construction to apply and join our strong team environment at DCYF.Some of what you'll do:
Required Qualifications:
Four years of general work experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work, or completion of a recognized apprenticeship in a skilled mechanic trade.
OR
An equivalent combination of education/experience.
