Full Job Description

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the FLEET SUPPORT DIVISION of the AIRCRAFT MATERIAL AND ENGINEERING DIRECTORATE of NAVAL AIR FORCE EAST TRNG TEAMS SHORE.

To qualify for a GS-13, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience demonstrating knowledge of a wide range of disciplines supporting aircraft distribution management and depot maintenance as it applies to current and future Naval aircraft, engines, and avionics.

Experience in inventory management and depot level maintenance. Experience utilizing budgetary methods and procedures to develop funding requirements.

Experience displaying knowledge of the practices and procedures used in each of the elements of logistic support and material acquisition and life cycle support principles of the Department of the Navy.

Experience interpreting technical data in a variety of forms, including military specifications, technical directives, engineering design changes and maintenance manuals.

Experience in the use of PC spreadsheet and database programs.

  • You will create action plans consistent with guidance to assist subordinate commands and resource planned and unplanned requirements for specialized equipment worldwide.
  • You will plan, budget, and execute depot maintenance programs for all COMNA V AIRFOR strike. fixed wing, and rotary wing aircraft.
  • You will review correspondence received by the command relating to operational commitments, aircraft inventory, depot maintenance, and in service repair.
  • You will coordinate the planning and distribution of the various configurations of installed fixed and rotary wing airframes/avionics with the long-range operating schedules of ships, airwings. and squadrons
  • You will monitor assignment, allocation and distribution of Navy and Marine Corps airframes for adequacy and coordinate requests for changes as required.
  • You will provide advice and counsel on aircraft operational, training, and maintenance requirements, inventory management, depot maintenance, and in service repair throughout the command and subordinate commands.
  • You will define the CNAP requirement to retire aircraft from active inventory.
  • You will coordinate with Aircraft Class Desk to fund and schedule strike disposition, demilitarization, spare parts removal, transportation, disposal, transfer to foreign military sales, museums, other government agencies, or storage.
