Full Job Description

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the AC33100 Branch of the Mission Systems Group (MSG) Logistics Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

The position supports PMA-276 Program Office within PEO (A), as the H-1 Sensors and Weapons Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (DAPML).

The duty location of this position is Patuxent River, Maryland.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing and implementing product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost; 2) Ensuring maintainability, readiness, supportability, and affordability through a series of Supportability Analysis; 3) Determining the best approach in planning and expending resources/funding to ensure adequate and affordable logistics support posture; 4) Assisting in submission and defense of Integrated Product Support budgets and support cost information to achieve program goals and objectives; 5) Identifying, planning and executing logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e.

acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements; 6) Developing and reviewing program technical documentation and providing input and direction on logistics/maintenance issues and requirements; 7) Applying logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements; 8) Assisting in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e.

statements of work and contract data requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases; 9) Participating in the Configuration Management Process by developing, reviewing and submitting all associated documentation in support of Engineering Change Proposals, Configuration Control Board (CCB) Presentations, and Technical Directives; and 10) Preparing and/or delivering presentations to customers/stakeholders in order to address support posture and justify logistics requirements/implementation.

  • You will be assigned to the H-1 Sensors and Weapons IPT and reports to the PMA-276 PSM, APML and PDAPML for technical direction, tasking, guidance, and execution of duties.
  • You will develop and implement product support and maintenance concepts/requirements for assigned systems to achieve program goals and objectives with minimum life cycle cost.
  • You will identify, plan and execute logistics efforts to ensure all aspects of the total systems life cycle (i.e. acquisition and sustainment) are in place to meet program requirements.
  • You will apply logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements.
  • You will be responsible for design interface, industrial and maintenance planning, maintenance program and supply integration, integrated warfighter support, training and training support, support equipment management and integration.
  • You will assist in the development and management of contract requirements (i.e. statements of work and contract data requirements) to support systems engineering/acquisition phases.
  • You will participate in the Configuration Management Process by developing, reviewing, and submitting all associated documentation in support of Engineering Change Proposals, Configuration Control Board (CCB) Presentations, and Technical Directives.
  • You will prepare and/or deliver presentations to customer/stakeholders in order to address support posture and justify logistics requirements/implementation.
  • You will represent H-1 Sensors and Weapons IPT at the Integrated Logistics Support Working Groups, Logistics Products and Process Reviews, Integrated Logistics Assessments, Milestone Reviews, Maintenance Working Groups, etc in support of the program.
  • You will conduct logistics research and development, assessing and utilizing industry practices to improve maintenance technologies, manufacturing sciences, and technology insertion in the acquisition process.
