This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command.
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Applying analytical principles and techniques to research, develop, and report performance metrics supporting each segment of the global distribution network.
Identifying and compiling historical data and analysis to help guide or evaluate on-going supply chain delays or backlogs impacting both domestic or overseas movement and delivery of sustainment materiel.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Major Duties:
As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serve as a senior advisor for transportation, deployment, distribution, supply chain management.
Review, evaluate, and analyze distribution network performance to identify potential issues and process improvement opportunities in the distribution network using business intelligence software and analytical tools.
Coordinate with joint forces, multi-nation forces, host nation, and other U.S.
government (USG) departments and agencies, Inter Governmental Organizations (IGOs),and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs).
Monitor, assess, and direct distribution operations assuring the concept of support is effectively executed.
