  • Skills in managing multimodal transportation solutions, developing movement plans, and monitoring systems like JOPES for reporting and synchronization

Full Job Description

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the LOGISTICS OPERATIONS DIVISION of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND.

GS 12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience as a logistics planner for operations and exercises with knowledge of automated deployment systems; 2) Performing Time Phased Force Deployment (TPFDD) analysis, checking for errors, and monitoring force movement; 3) Experience with adaptive planning using the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES); 4) Coordinating with transportation support agencies to facilitate timely and efficient movement of forces.

GS 13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Extensive hands-on experience as a logistics planner for operations and exercises with in-depth knowledge of automated deployment systems; 2) Extensive experience performing Time Phased Force Deployment (TPFDD) analysis, checking for errors, and monitoring force movement; 3) Extensive experience with adaptive planning using the Joint Operation Planning and Execution System (JOPES); 4) Experience coordinating with transportation support agencies to facilitate timely and efficient movement of forces (e.g.

Tanker Airlift Control Center, Traffic Management Office).

  • You will manage, monitor, and provide multimodal transportation solutions for intra and inter-theater force flow, distinguished visitors, foreign national, aeromedical evacuation, leave and pass program and special operations support missions.
  • You will build and manage intra-theater requirement generation and tracking processes.
  • You will develop current and future operations movement plans.
  • You will manage node performance for commercial and military distribution assets, support equipment and infrastructure.
  • You will monitor Newsgroups, JOPES and other systems to develop and publish reports that ensure full synchronization of efforts.
