Key Requirements

  • Eight years of experience in Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) across at least two program offices or similar, with two years in a leadership role (e.g., PSM, APML, IPT Lead) at GS-13 or higher
  • Up to four years of the required experience may come from field-level or sustainment logistics positions
  • At least two years within the past four years leading product support strategy development, implementation, and management aligned with warfighter needs
  • Strong knowledge of cost-wise readiness, total cost of ownership, and life cycle sustainment principles

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the LOGISTICS INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT, PROGRAM LOGISTICS INTEGRATION DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV, assigned to PMA213 Naval Air Traffic Management Systems Program Office as the Product Support Manager (PSM) Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12/13) grade level or pay band (DS-05) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) having the Life Cycle Logistics Advanced Tier Functional Area Certification at the time of appointment in alignment with DoDI 5000.66 / Section 4.2; (2) in alignment with the DON LCL Acquisition Workforce Career Guidebook, Appendix 3: DON PSM Certifications Memo the incumbent must have a combined eight (8) years of experience in LCL in at least two different Program Offices or similar organization holding LCL positions with at least two of the eight years in a leadership position (i.e.

PSM, APML, IPT Lead, etc.) at the GS-13 level or higher and up to four years of the required experience may come from logistics positions in field-level or sustainment organizations; (3) have at least two years experience within the past four years leading product support strategy development, implementation, and management, ensuring alignment with warfighter sustainment and readiness requirements.

  • You will serve as Product Support Manager for the Program Office, paramount to this position is the development and execution of a product support strategy, which maximizes affordability and readiness for the Warfighter.
  • You will provide both technical and administrative continuity to the product support team, maintaining all authority and total responsibility/ accountability for all acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts in support of the PMA.
  • You will provide the PMA with visibility of Product Support IPT staffing statistics and conveying program priorities into the logistics competency allocation process.
  • You will use cost-wise readiness and total cost of ownership principles, formulating and executing the Life Cycle Sustainment strategy for assigned system(s).
  • You will exercise resource responsibility/authority over support budgets through the Logistics Requirements and Funding Summary (LRFS) process and determine the best approach in expending resources to provide the best value long-term outcomes.
  • You will provide cost supporting data and develop tailored application of the elements of life cycle costing based on authoritative knowledge of the characteristics of assigned system(s).
  • You will manage and direct the effort of all product support personnel on program teams/IPTs providing acquisition and sustaining product support to assigned systems(s).
  • You will review the attainment of program objectives to identify and correct deficiencies in established integrated logistics support programs.
