This role leads the state's electrical inspection program, overseeing safety checks, licensing for electricians and contractors, and ensuring all electrical work in Washington is safe for workers and the public.
It involves managing a team of 175 staff, developing policies, handling budgets, and fighting fraud in the industry.

The salary offer will be based on the candidate’s job-related skills, experience and training. The target pay range of consideration for this exempt position is typically $84,924-$163,044 annually.

The Chief Electrical Inspector is responsible for:
The Electrical Program is responsible for the administration, electrical plan review, electrical license audit, electrical licensing, electrical compliance enforcement, continuing education administration, electrical testing laboratory accreditation and program wide training.
The program performs over 26,000 electrical inspections to ensure that all electrical installations and maintenance are safe for consumers and workers in Washington state and licenses over 38,500 electricians and electrical contractors to help ensure that only qualified workers engage in the electrical business.
This position manages the programs operations and administration, providing oversight and leadership to 175 employees.
